The artwork was based on sound. It was suppose to reflect silence on a mountain. In my artwork I painted the background many colors to identify the scene as morning when the sky is the prettiest. I used black to paint the deer and the mountain, because it makes the sky pop out a little more. On this piece I had to be more detailed with the deer. I did not get it exactly the same as the original, but it was close enough.
I created this art piece, because deers remind me of silence. Always having to wait for the deer while hunting inspired me do paint this. I wanted to convey the peaceful kind of emotion so that when someone looks at it they think of wind and nature. What was hard about creating this artwork was the deer. I had no idea how to approach painting the deer or were to start. I had to e very detailed in painting the deer, making sure not to make the deer to fat or the horns to small. I used acrylic paint on this piece because I felt the background would be easier to paint by using these. I thought it was a good idea to use this material because it dried faster than oil paint.
In all I really liked this piece because of the deer. It brings me back to when I would sit in the deer stand and want in silence for the deer. I had a difficult time getting the picture to look exactly like the one I found. I also had a hard time with the sky, because blending it while it was drying I had to do it really fast.
