1. Which artwork was your most successful?
I think the flight artwork was my most successful because, it was my most thought out art piece. I was not sure I could do the painting at first. I wanted to see if it would actually turn out good. So I remembered the video I had watched about oil painting and put my ideas down on the board. I believe that this piece was the hardest but, the most easiest at the same time.
2. Discuss one project where you felt you overcame most obstacles?
The man vs machine project I could say was the most difficult to do. I had no idea how to start out my art work. I knew I needed help with drawing the eyes so I figured why not base this project off of that. I needed lots of help so, the teacher had art books to look at. This helped me out a bunch on the project. I had ended up drawing a half human/ half robot head. The background was kind of a rushed background so this did not turn out so well as I had hoped. In all I could say this project I had to overcome lots of obstacles.
3. What 2 pieces show your growth as an artist?
The first piece was the environment project. We had only gotten a slight explanation of how to do the scratch boards and I was not sure if I could do them. I wound up doodling on one and found out that I really liked it. I had incorporated a bunch of different drawings on one poster board. I could say this project helped my artistic abilities grow by doing something I thought I couldn't do at first.
The second piece was the flight project. I had no idea what I was doing with this. I had only watched a video in one of my classes about it. So I went off on a limb and decided I was going to take the chance and try oil painting. It was not easy at first but, I think I overcame that once it started blending together right. It helped me grow as an artists because, I did something that I had only learned on a video.

4. This semester I introduced a new way of teaching/learning. Students had more choices in subject matter and material choice. Explain how effective this was to you?
This was very effective to me because, I was trying things I had never tried before. I was oil painting and we had never even learned about that yet. I think providing the students with more open options was a great idea. Helping them learn things and do things they never thought they could do. In my opinion I had learned more by doing different options than I did in just following one art material. I think most of the projects I did I had no idea if i could do them are not. In the end most of my projects had turned out great!
